NATIONAL STUDENT CHOGM 2020 APPLICATION

The National Student CHOGM puts high school students in the role of Heads of Government. Each delegate will be assigned a different country to represent throughout the day-long conference.

This year, the conference will be going ahead over Zoom. It will span one day rather than the usual two-day format. The event will run on Monday 17th August, which is a school-day. Students are expected to work with their teachers to participate in this event from school, rather than from home - this allows students from the same school to work together during the day.

You must apply as a delegate. If you would like to be considered for the role of Secretary General, please fill out the relevant boxes below.

Spaces for participants are limited. Applications will close on 24th July, but may be subject to closing sooner if we reach capacity.

National Student CHOGM 2020 Application Form

    School /Organisation Information

    Teacher Information

Students are expected to work with their teacher to participate in the event from school, rather than from home. Please ensure when applying from the same school that you elect the same teacher.

    Student Information

    Delegate Information
A delegate application must be filled out for each person.

Those wishing to apply to be Secretary General must fill out the form below, as well as the questions for those roles.
Please DO NOT use a school email address.
This is required in the event that we are unable to send your information pack to the school.

    Country Information

    Secretary General Information

The role of the Secretary General involves facilitating debate in plenary sessions. This is similar to a chairperson role of any meeting. This is an interviewed position; if you are accepted, you will be only acting in the capacity of Secretary General and you will not be able to participate as a country delegate. If you are not accepted to be Secretary General, you will be accepted as a country delegate.

We are looking for three candidates to take on this role.

Once accepted, the Secretary Generals will be informed further about the intricacies of their role. We encourage all to apply!
Please type no more than 300 words. You are not required to fill this out unless you would like to be considered for the role.
    Secondary delegations
To allow as many schools as possible to participate in Student CHOGM, we can only guarantee five individual delegates per school. However, spaces for more delegates per school may be available after the closing date for applications. If this is the case, we will be in contact with your school directly.
